About Abacus Institute of Engineering and Management (AIEM), Hooghly

Abacus Institute of Engineering and Management (AIEM) is a private engineering and management college located in Hooghly, West Bengal. Affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT, formerly WBUT) and approved by AICTE, AIEM offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in engineering, technology, and management.


Admission Open 2025-26

Admissions at AIEM are based on:

  • For B.Tech: WBJEE/JEE Main scores or MAKAUT counseling.

  • For MBA: WBJEMAT/CAT/MAT/XAT scores followed by GD & PI.

  • Direct Admission: Management quota seats available (subject to eligibility).

Eligibility:

  • B.Tech: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (45% for general, 40% for reserved categories).

  • MBA: Bachelor’s degree (50% aggregate).

Application Process:

  • Submit required documents (marksheets, entrance scorecards, ID proof).
