About the Programme

 

The Bachelor of Pharmacy program (B. Pharm) is crafted to equip students with comprehensive and hands-on training for a career in Pharmaceutical Sciences. With a strong focus on research, innovation, and creativity, this program aims to mold students into industry-ready professionals. It covers a spectrum of skills necessary for success in the field, including understanding the drug development process, patient usage patterns, and optimizing patient care through collaboration with other healthcare providers.

 

Eligibility

 

For admission into the XIIth grade, candidates must have attained a minimum of 60% marks, with Physics and Chemistry as mandatory subjects, along with the choice of either Mathematics, Biology, or Biotechnology.

The minimum age requirement for admission is 17 years.

For lateral entry:

Candidates must have successfully completed a Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) with at least 50% marks or a CGPA of 6.0.

For migration from other universities:

  1. Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks or a CGPA of 5.0 in the first year of B.Pharma on a 10-point scale.

  2. XIIth grade with a minimum of 50% marks, with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects, and an additional subject from Mathematics, Biology, or Biotechnology.

This course employs a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, seminars, flipped classrooms, hands-on practical sessions, and project-based learning. The department boasts ample infrastructure, well-equipped laboratories, a computer center, and an extensive library stocked with resources to support student learning and research endeavors.
