The highest placement packages at IITs in 2024 have been remarkable. At IIT Bombay, one of the top institutes, the highest salary package offered in 2024 was ₹3.67 crores per annum (CPA), with an average package around ₹36.9 lakh per annum (LPA). Students from the Computer Science and Engineering branch generally secured the highest offers. Many other branches also reported successful placements, though with varying salary ranges.

 

IIT Delhi saw a domestic package as high as ₹41.13 LPA. Other IITs, such as IIT Guwahati, recorded international offers as well, with the highest package reaching ₹2.4 crore.

 

Across IITs, students from tech fields, especially in computer science and software engineering, have garnered the highest packages, and some institutes even received international offers from companies in the U.S., Japan, and Europe​.
