Overview & Background

Loyola College, Vettavalam is a Jesuit-led self-financed co-educational institution established in 2009-10, affiliated with Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore—with UGC 2F recognition. Spanning 75 acres in rural Tamil Nadu, the college is rooted in Jesuit values and aims to uplift first-generation learners, economically marginalized communities, and women.

Driven by Ignatian spirituality, Loyola Vettavalam champions integral liberation, social justice, and holistic transformation. Its vision emphasizes social change and aims to nurture leaders committed to serving the poor and oppressed.
